H13 Program for Medical Waste Management Workers is designed for the safe handling of medical waste, which is one of the most important hygiene requirements in healthcare facilities. Improper waste management can lead to the spread of infections, harm the environment, and affect human health. The program introduces the main legal regulations in this field: the Waste Management Law of the Republic of Lithuania, HN 66:2007 “Requirements for Waste Management in Healthcare Institutions”, and relevant EU directives on hazardous waste management.
